Our 2019 youth mission team is off to an amazing start in Mexico! Upon arriving safely, they’ve hit the ground running, immersing themselves in the local culture and partnering with a local mission to get several service projects underway. Outreach might sound like a scary word. However, evangelism does not need to be seen as an attempt to recruit converts, but instead as an opportunity to love our neighbors! Seek to fill your heart with the holiness of Christ, and as we are captured by His glory, we will speak genuinely to all, from the heart, about the One we adore. There is an opportunity for outreach this Sunday, June 2, for our monthly 2nd Sunday ministry. No special qualifications are needed, and you can even bring your children along to participate. The Thrive community is a great way to connect with the singles and young professionals in our church. The name expresses our conviction that God does not intend the single years to be a time of spiritual complacency and passivity. Rather, he calls us to live for Christ, grow in grace, and pour out our lives into the church. Thrive offers regular activities throughout the year which provide opportunities to build relationships and serve the local community. This upcoming Saturday will be the next Thrive meeting. Andy Farmer will be leading and helping us think through how we are to relate to and communicate the communicable attributes of God.
